Rising Through the Ranks of British Ice Hockey

Ameilia’s ice hockey career began early, fuelled by a lifelong dedication to the sport. By just 14 years old, she was representing the Great Britain women's national ice hockey team, gaining invaluable international experience years ahead of schedule. That early exposure to elite competition helped shape a player who thrives under pressure and consistently pushes standards.

Her development pathway is a testament to versatility and commitment. Ameilia honed her skills in mixed hockey with the Cardiff Jr Devils, while also competing in women’s hockey with the Swindon Topcats and the Queen Bees. Balancing multiple competitive environments has strengthened both her technical ability and game intelligence.

In January last year, Ameilia represented Team GB in Riga, returning home with a gold medal and promotion — a landmark achievement for British women’s ice hockey and a defining moment in her young career.

“I am an 18-year-old female ice hockey player in the UK competing at an elite level, with a lifelong dedication to the sport. I’ve represented Great Britain since the age of 14, gaining invaluable experience very early in my career… I’m highly motivated to continue developing, pushing standards, and performing at the highest level on and off the ice.”
