We’re proud to announce a first for Gardeot: we’ve officially sponsored our first ever player.

For the 2026/27 season, we’ll be supporting Kate Gleave of the Leeds Roses.

Kate is no stranger to Gardeot. We’ve worked together previously, and we’ve also had the pleasure of supporting her former team, so continuing that relationship felt like a natural next step.

As Gardeot continues to grow, supporting players who share our passion for the game is something we’re keen to do more of. Kate is a strong advocate for the growth of ice hockey in the UK, particularly women’s hockey, and that makes this partnership a great fit for what we’re trying to achieve.

Supporting the growth of women’s ice hockey

Women’s ice hockey in the UK continues to grow, with more players, teams and supporters getting involved at every level of the game.

For Gardeot, supporting that growth has always been an important part of what we do. From working with women’s teams to supporting players and getting involved with the wider hockey community, we want to help give the sport a bigger voice away from the ice as well as on it.

Kate has been a part of that conversation and we're excited to support her throughout the new season.
