WANTED: REPORTERS FOR THE GARDEOT GAZETTE

Listen up, kid. If this notice has found its way into your hands, it means the Gardeot Gazette has its eye on you. We’re not looking for daydreamers or bench-warmers — we want correspondents with grit, gumption, and enough moxie to file the kind of reports that make readers sit up and take notice.

The Position

Your beat is British ice hockey and your team specifically — the games, the crowds, the sweat, the glory. You’ll file dispatches that capture the roar of the rink and the stories that slip between the boards. Written copy, snappy photographs, even those new-fangled “social reels” will do the trick, so long as it’s got punch. We are looking for reporters to join us for the 25/26 hockey season (September-June).

Requirements

  • One dispatch a month, minimum. That’s non-negotiable.

  • Submission of work is accepted via the following methods; collaborative or tagged social posts, written stories via the Gardeot Blog, email newsletters - your choice.

  • Copy must be sharp, authentic, and brimming with the voice of the fan in the stands.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A dyed-in-the-wool supporter who bleeds team colours.

  • A storyteller with an eye for drama and an ear for the crowd.

  • Steady, reliable, and ready to see their byline in digital print.

In Return

  • Your work published in the Gardeot Gazette blog and/or broadcast across our official channels.

  • A personal discount code — your readers save, and you earn commission on every sale it inspires.

  • Advance whispers of new Gardeot releases, privileges reserved for insiders only.

  • A piece of Gardeot merchandise

  • And above all, the distinction of being among the Gazette’s first correspondents — pioneers with ink on their hands and hockey in their hearts.
